Rare find! Chinese guardian Lion commonly known as a Foo Dog in vibrant turquoise Glaze. These Foo Dogs historically were placed to protect against negative energy and evil spirits. They also symbolised mystic protection for a families wealth and social status.
This particular Foo is female (as you can see the cub under her paw) and represents nurturing and the circle of life.
